Furnace Installation — Book a Visit Today

We install and replace gas furnaces in homes across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and the first step is a visit to measure your house and look at what the old unit was fighting. Furnaces usually reach the end of the road one of three ways: a cracked heat exchanger, a failed control board on a unit nobody makes parts for anymore, or years of short cycling because the last install was sized by guess. On a quote visit we check duct sizing, gas line and venting, return air, and where the condensate will go in a red clay crawlspace. Then you get a written plan with options. Call us and we will schedule the walkthrough.

The furnace installation symptoms we hear most

  • The furnace runs all evening and the back bedrooms never warm up Undersized or poorly ducted system, or a unit past its useful output
  • We have had heating repair out three winters running Repeat failures on an aging heat exchanger, board or inducer motor
  • It kicks on, runs two minutes, shuts off, then does it again Short cycling from oversizing, restricted return air or a failing limit switch
  • There is a burnt or sooty smell when the heat starts Combustion or heat exchanger problem that needs inspection before any replacement talk
  • Parts for our furnace are on backorder every time Obsolete equipment where replacement costs less over the season than another furnace repair

Search for it as furnace installation or furnace replacement and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the thermostat: fresh batteries, set to Heat, and the setpoint above room temperature.
  • 2Look at the breaker panel for a tripped breaker on the furnace or air handler circuit.
  • 3Pull the filter. If it is grey and matted, put in a clean one of the same size and try again.
  • 4Walk the house and confirm supply and return vents are open and not blocked by furniture or rugs.

Furnace Installation — quick answers

How do you decide what size furnace my house needs?

We measure the house rather than match the old nameplate. Square footage, insulation, window count, duct layout and how the house sits on the ridge all change the BTU load. Oversized furnaces short cycle and leave rooms uneven, so we size to the actual heat loss.

Should I repair my furnace or replace it?

If the heat exchanger is cracked, or the part is obsolete, or you have paid for heater repair two or three winters in a row on a unit well past its expected life, replacement usually makes more sense. We give you both numbers and let you decide.

How long does a furnace installation take?

Most straight swaps take a day. If we need to correct venting, resize a return, run new gas line or move the unit in a tight crawlspace, plan on two. We tell you which one you are before we start, not after.

What is a high-efficiency upgrade actually changing?

A high-efficiency furnace uses a sealed combustion process and PVC venting instead of a metal flue, plus a variable or multi-stage blower. That means new vent routing and a condensate drain. We check both are workable at your house before quoting the upgrade.

Do you have to touch my ductwork?

Sometimes. A new furnace moves air differently, and undersized returns are the most common reason a good install still feels uneven. We inspect the duct during the quote visit and tell you what needs sealing, resizing or rerouting.

Can I keep my old thermostat?

Often yes, though a multi-stage or variable-speed furnace needs a thermostat that can speak to it. If yours only has a single heat wire, we will show you what it can and cannot control before installation day.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. That gives us a head start on the likely cause.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant performance and the outdoor unit. We work the crawlspace and the attic too, because ductwork and drainage cause more trouble than people expect.

  3. Step 3

You decide, then we fix it

We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. No work starts until you say go. Most repairs finish the same visit when parts are on the truck.

Why homeowners call us

  • Mixed heating is normal to usHeat pumps, propane furnaces and dual-fuel setups all behave differently in cold weather. We know how a heat pump should sound in the thirties and when the backup heat is doing too much of the work.
  • We go under the houseRed clay crawlspaces hide crushed ducts, sweating lines and standing water. Comfort problems often start down there, not at the unit, so we look before we start replacing parts you may not need.
  • Plain explanationsYou get told what broke and why, in words that make sense. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging system, we say that out loud so you can plan instead of guessing.
  • One crew, six statesWe serve homeowners across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Same approach in every one: show up, diagnose properly, repair what needs repairing, leave the space clean.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
