What the job involves
A whole-home purifier is not a plug-in box. We cut it into the return side of your duct system, near the air handler or furnace, so treated air moves through every supply vent in the house. Depending on the unit, that means sheet metal work, a power connection, and sometimes a small control mounted at the equipment. Most installs run a few hours. We seal our cuts, test airflow before and after, and show you where the media or lamp lives so you know what gets replaced later.
What we check and install
Before we quote a purifier we check static pressure, filter size and condition, return air placement, and whether the ducts leak in the crawlspace. A purifier fighting dirty ducts and a starved return will disappoint you. From there we fit the right approach: deep pleated media cabinets for dust and pollen, polarised or electronic air cleaners for fine particles, or ultraviolet and oxidising units aimed at mould and odour in damp homes. We size for your blower, not for a brochure.
How we decide it is the right call
Sometimes it isn't. If your filter is choked, your ducts are pulling clay dust from under the house, or a bath fan vents into the attic, we fix that first because a purifier will not outrun those problems. We recommend one when the mechanical side is sound and the complaint continues: allergy symptoms indoors, dust film returning fast, smoke or cooking odours lingering, or a persistent musty smell. We will tell you plainly which category your home falls into after we look.

Will a whole-home purifier work if my system only runs part of the day?
It only treats air while the blower turns. If your equipment cycles briefly, we can set the fan to run at low speed between cycles so air keeps passing through the purifier without a large comfort change.
How often does the media or lamp need replacing?
Media cabinets usually go a year, sometimes less in homes with pets or heavy pollen. Ultraviolet lamps typically get changed annually even if still glowing, since output drops. We note your interval at install and can handle it on a maintenance visit.
Can a purifier be added to a heat pump?
Yes. Heat pumps, gas furnaces and dual-fuel setups all move air through a return, and that is where the purifier goes. The install looks much the same. We confirm your blower can handle the added resistance first.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form and describe what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. That gives us a head start on the likely cause.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant performance and the outdoor unit. We work the crawlspace and the attic too, because ductwork and drainage cause more trouble than people expect.
- Step 3
You decide, then we fix it
We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. No work starts until you say go. Most repairs finish the same visit when parts are on the truck.

Why homeowners call us
- Mixed heating is normal to usHeat pumps, propane furnaces and dual-fuel setups all behave differently in cold weather. We know how a heat pump should sound in the thirties and when the backup heat is doing too much of the work.
- We go under the houseRed clay crawlspaces hide crushed ducts, sweating lines and standing water. Comfort problems often start down there, not at the unit, so we look before we start replacing parts you may not need.
- Plain explanationsYou get told what broke and why, in words that make sense. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging system, we say that out loud so you can plan instead of guessing.
- One crew, six statesWe serve homeowners across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Same approach in every one: show up, diagnose properly, repair what needs repairing, leave the space clean.
- All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
