Air Duct Cleaning

We clean residential air ducts across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, pulling built-up dust, insulation fibers and debris out of supply and return runs so your air handler moves air the way it should. Homeowners usually call after remodeling dust, a rodent problem in a crawlspace, water intrusion in a duct run, or visible grit blowing out of the registers. If that sounds like your house, call us and describe what you are seeing and we will tell you whether cleaning is the right fix.

What the job involves

We start at the equipment and work outward. Registers and grilles come off, and we run brushes and agitation tools through the branch runs while a negative air machine pulls the loosened debris out through a collection point at the air handler. Returns get the same attention, since that is where most of the dust load enters. Flex duct in a red clay crawlspace gets handled gently so we do not tear the inner liner. We photograph before and after so you can see what actually came out.and we clean up behind ourselves.

What we check while we are in there

Duct cleaning puts us in the same places a duct inspection does, so we look. We check for crushed or kinked flex, disconnected boots dumping conditioned air under the house, loose insulation being pulled into the return, and any sign of moisture or mold growth on duct interiors. We look at the filter slot for bypass gaps, the blower wheel for caked dust, and the coil for buildup. Anything we find gets explained plainly, with photos, before we recommend work beyond cleaning.

How we decide it is the right call

Cleaning helps when there is real debris to remove. Good reasons include construction or renovation dust, rodent or insect activity in the ductwork, water damage, or a system that has never been cleaned in decades of use. If your complaint is weak airflow, hot rooms, or high humidity, the cause is more often duct leakage, undersized returns, or an equipment issue, and cleaning will not fix it. We will tell you that instead of selling you a cleaning you do not need.

Air Duct Cleaning — quick answers

How often do air ducts need cleaning?

There is no fixed schedule. Most homes only need it after an event like remodeling, water intrusion, or pests in the ductwork. We inspect first and tell you honestly if your ducts do not need the work.

Will duct cleaning help my allergies?

It can reduce the dust and debris circulating through your system, but it is not a cure. Filtration, sealing return leaks, and controlling humidity usually matter more. We can walk through IAQ options that fit your home.

Do you clean the blower and coil too?

We check both during the visit, since a caked blower wheel or dirty coil will keep loading your ducts with dust. Cleaning those is separate work, and we will quote it before touching anything.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. That gives us a head start on the likely cause.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant performance and the outdoor unit. We work the crawlspace and the attic too, because ductwork and drainage cause more trouble than people expect.

  3. Step 3

You decide, then we fix it

We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. No work starts until you say go. Most repairs finish the same visit when parts are on the truck.

Why homeowners call us

  • Mixed heating is normal to usHeat pumps, propane furnaces and dual-fuel setups all behave differently in cold weather. We know how a heat pump should sound in the thirties and when the backup heat is doing too much of the work.
  • We go under the houseRed clay crawlspaces hide crushed ducts, sweating lines and standing water. Comfort problems often start down there, not at the unit, so we look before we start replacing parts you may not need.
  • Plain explanationsYou get told what broke and why, in words that make sense. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging system, we say that out loud so you can plan instead of guessing.
  • One crew, six statesWe serve homeowners across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Same approach in every one: show up, diagnose properly, repair what needs repairing, leave the space clean.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
