Top-rated independent heating and cooling across north Georgia and the southern Appalachians

AC Installation — Book a Visit Today

We install and replace central air conditioning systems, heat pump cooling and ductless mini-splits for homes across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Most calls start the same way: a system in its teens is losing capacity, needs refrigerant every summer, or the repair bill has passed the point of sense. A visit starts with load and airflow, not a brochure. We measure the rooms, look at the ductwork, check the crawlspace and attic runs, and look at where the outdoor unit sits and drains. Then we lay out equipment options that match the house instead of the biggest box that fits. If your cooling is on its last season, call us and we will schedule a look before the heat sets in.

  • It runs all day and the house never gets cool Undersized or worn-out equipment, lost capacity, duct losses
  • We add refrigerant every single summer Leaking coil or line set, aging system nearing replacement
  • The upstairs is ten degrees hotter than the downstairs Duct design and airflow distribution, zoning or mini-split candidate
  • My repair quote costs more than the unit is worth Compressor or coil failure on an older system, replacement decision
  • The addition and the bonus room never had ducts No supply to the space, ductless mini-split application

Search for it as AC installation or air conditioner installation and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

AC Installation — quick answers

How do you decide what size system my house needs?

We measure the house instead of copying the old label. Room sizes, window area, insulation, ceiling height and duct capacity all go into the calculation. Oversized cooling short cycles and leaves the air clammy, so getting the size right matters more than the badge on the outdoor unit.

Can I keep my existing ductwork?

Often yes, but we check it first. We look at duct size, sealing at the joints, insulation in the crawlspace and attic, and whether the return is big enough for the new system. If the ducts choke airflow, we repair or resize those sections during the install.

How long does an AC replacement take?

A straight changeout of an outdoor unit and indoor coil is usually a one-day job. Add duct repairs, a new line set, electrical changes or a difficult crawlspace and it can stretch into a second day. We tell you which one you are looking at before we start.

Is a ductless mini-split right for my house?

Mini-splits work well for additions, bonus rooms, converted garages, sunrooms and older homes with no duct path. They also help rooms that a central system never reaches. We can install a single indoor head or several off one outdoor unit depending on the layout.

Should I replace the furnace at the same time?

If both are original and the furnace is aging, doing them together saves labor and lets us match the blower to the new cooling coil. On dual-fuel and propane homes up the ridges, matching the controls to a heat pump is easier as one project.

What happens to the old equipment?

We haul it off. Refrigerant is recovered by our technicians before anything is removed, the old outdoor unit and indoor coil go with us, and we clean up the pad and the closet or crawlspace access before we leave.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what you hear, smell or feel. Warm air, short cycling, a breaker that keeps tripping. That gives us a head start on the likely cause.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant performance and the outdoor unit. We work the crawlspace and the attic too, because ductwork and drainage cause more trouble than people expect.

  3. Step 3

You decide, then we fix it

We explain what failed, what it takes to repair it, and what we would watch next season. No work starts until you say go. Most repairs finish the same visit when parts are on the truck.

Why homeowners call us

  • Mixed heating is normal to usHeat pumps, propane furnaces and dual-fuel setups all behave differently in cold weather. We know how a heat pump should sound in the thirties and when the backup heat is doing too much of the work.
  • We go under the houseRed clay crawlspaces hide crushed ducts, sweating lines and standing water. Comfort problems often start down there, not at the unit, so we look before we start replacing parts you may not need.
  • Plain explanationsYou get told what broke and why, in words that make sense. If a repair is a short-term patch on an aging system, we say that out loud so you can plan instead of guessing.
  • One crew, six statesWe serve homeowners across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Same approach in every one: show up, diagnose properly, repair what needs repairing, leave the space clean.
  • All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
